xAs a 25 year resident of McHenry County, Alan Weaver has earned the trust and respect of his community. Serving the Wauconda Fire Protection District, as a firefighter/paramedic for 20 years, the safety and protection of the public is foremost in his mind. xWith children in both elementary and high school and as a former foster parent of children with special needs, Alan knows the importance of community services and programs as well as the responsibility of government officials to treat taxpayers with honesty and fairness. xMaintaining a State of Illinois Certification as a Certified Illinois Assessing Official (CIAO) and twelve years of experience in the assessment field in both McHenry and Lake Counties, Alan will brings reliability and trust to the office of Assessor. xCurrently, Alan is an Assessor contracted by Alden Township in Northern McHenry County. Alan has the experience and work ethic that led Alden Township to select him to fill their elected Assessor's term when illness required someone with knowledge and experience to step in. Alan has modernized the Alden Township Assessor's Office with computerization and the PAMS Assessment Software package. This is the same software that is currently utilized in Algonquin, Richmond, Nunda, and Hartland Townships. xAlan has 12 years of previous management and budgetary experience running a multi-million dollar department for a major office supply manufacturer; ACCO USA. xAlan is someone who genuinely wants citizens of every political persuasion to receive a fair shake from their local government officials.
